These are special transformers used in AC/DC or DC/AC conversion systems.

They can be manufactured in dry and oil-immersed types. Oil-immersed types can be hermetically sealed and include expansion tanks.

They can be designed with natural, forced air, or water cooling.

They can be manufactured for 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 48-pulse systems.

The transformer design phase takes harmonics and other system parameters into account.
